Hip Pain

Hip pain can occur in the joint itself or in the surrounding areas, such as the groin, thigh, or buttocks, and may range from a mild ache to severe pain that affects mobility.

Hip pain can be caused by a number of different factors. The hip joint is a complex joint, and pain in this area can be felt in a variety of locations, including the groin, thigh, buttocks, and lower back. Common causes of hip pain include arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, muscle strains, and hip fractures.

In addition, hip pain can sometimes be caused by referred pain from the lower back or pelvis. When a patient comes to me with hip pain, I conduct a thorough examination to determine the underlying cause of their pain. Treatment options may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, exercises, and stretches to improve hip mobility and stability, and recommendations for modifications to daily activities to reduce stress on the hip joint.
